The Mind of a Triathlete

Heard about the recent death of a teen triathlete, which a "super-athelete" wrote her response to in this article. (Scroll down to read the article "The Mind of a Triathlete")
Certainly thought-provoking, in a sense that it's so true we never know what our limits are, being blinded by the desire to reach our goals, that when tell-tale signs show, we ignore them thinking that recognising such signs would be equivalent to admitting defeat.
Until the limits are crossed unwittingly, and when they are, either something lousy can happen or we could be immensely rewarded.

It's unfortunate this guy din make it, but the article also made me feel morbidly inspired nonetheless.

中正纪念堂, a stone's throw away from hotel 73. As informed by the taxi uncle, there seems to be a debate to remove 中正 from the name cos of a realisation that Mr Chiang Kai Shek wasn't really a hero that people made him out to be. Read more here

As i write this post, i'm trying my utmost to comprehend the webpage commands which are all in traditional chinese. Take a look here . Grr. I never thought my command of the chinese language would be so poor until the little boy below showed me his little picture book and there i found out wat a stapler was in chinese. heh. For the benefit of those like me who din noe, the anwer is 訂書機.

Below are the pics from our weekend getaway to Green Island, Taiwan.

1st day morning. Preparing to set off.

Greeted by thunderclouds on the 1st day. Btw, "the day after tomorrow" is called "明天過後", n not "後天"!

fyi, the green stuff is seaweed! it's so aesthetically pleasing i was telling AB they could make an alcoholic drink out of it.. like a pseudo mojito, replacing the mint leaves with seaweed!

it's milky counterpart - 海草牛奶冰

A cuttlefish. The locals just hooked one off the sea every few minutes, like they were swimming in abundance below.
