came home today on a sat afternoon to an empty house. the odd side of me relished moments like that. especially when i've been down with the flu which was worsened with last nite's drinking at st james. lesson learnt: alcohol and flu dun mix well.
so i trudged to and from class like a zombie today and was especially happy when i reached home and got the peace and quiet to sleep it all off. happily snuggled onto the sofa and watched animal planet. it was showing a repeat of julia roberts frolicking with some orangutans in a documentary called In the Wild. It's probably the third time i've watched it and it makes me laugh every single time. especially the part when the female orang utan offers to do the laundry for her, with her baby plonked on her back, soundly sleeping and oblivious to her mom's talent for washing teeshirts.
rite. the cousin is back from china n bugging me to teach him some songs. not as if i know very much of course! but first, gotta go get my hands on the piano before it's 10 and the neighbours start knocking on the door!
geez. i want to get away to the land of orang utans where life is just trees, grubs, bananas and maybe some laundry...
