The Mind of a Triathlete
Certainly thought-provoking, in a sense that it's so true we never know what our limits are, being blinded by the desire to reach our goals, that when tell-tale signs show, we ignore them thinking that recognising such signs would be equivalent to admitting defeat.
Until the limits are crossed unwittingly, and when they are, either something lousy can happen or we could be immensely rewarded.
It's unfortunate this guy din make it, but the article also made me feel morbidly inspired nonetheless.

緑島 - 台灣
Below are the pics from our weekend getaway to Green Island, Taiwan.

1st day morning. Preparing to set off.
Greeted by thunderclouds on the 1st day. Btw, "the day after tomorrow" is called "明天過後", n not "後天"!
still groggy
AB in my bimbo sunglasses
driving by the sea n stopping to take in the view
having a heineken in the outdoor sea water hot spring - as informed by Zhicheng, there are only 3 places in the world with sea water hot springs, green island being one of them! Read more here.
the lighthouse
still trying to look cool, though thorougly ass-kicked from carrying our bikes through a 1+ km 古道
look carefully n u see Confucius taking a leak at the wall. the locals say it is 孔子在面壁思過. but i prefer the former. hehe
AB n his flabs

海草檸檬冰
imagine having this after a ride in the sweltering heat... yummilicious!!
fyi, the green stuff is seaweed! it's so aesthetically pleasing i was telling AB they could make an alcoholic drink out of it.. like a pseudo mojito, replacing the mint leaves with seaweed!
it's milky counterpart - 海草牛奶冰
A cuttlefish. The locals just hooked one off the sea every few minutes, like they were swimming in abundance below.
BBQ on the last nite. this was taken b4 the electricity got cut off n the fans din work n we weren't allowed to take ice from the fridge. t'was maddenningly hott... luckily the food was scrumptious.
Jetty where we took a morning swim

e bald uncle who kept calling me 美媚 n insisting that i take the crab he caught
